Terms governing access to and use of Jamal.dev.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of Jamal.dev (the “Site”), operated by Jamal Yusuf (“I,” “me,” or “my”). By accessing the Site, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Site.

Use of the Site

You may use the Site for lawful, personal, and professional informational purposes. You agree not to:

  • Use the Site in any way that violates applicable law or regulation
  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, servers, or related systems
  • Interfere with or disrupt the Site’s operation or security
  • Scrape, harvest, or automate access in a manner that imposes unreasonable load
  • Misrepresent your affiliation with me or use the Site to distribute malware or spam

Intellectual Property

Unless otherwise noted, the Site and its original content — including text, layout, branding, graphics, and code — are owned by Jamal Yusuf or used with permission and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws. The site source code (JYV3, version 1.0.0) is licensed under Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0; commercial use is not permitted without prior written permission.

You may:

  • View and share links to pages on the Site
  • Quote brief excerpts with clear attribution and a link to the source

You may not:

  • Reproduce, republish, or commercially exploit substantial portions of the Site without prior written permission
  • Remove copyright, attribution, or proprietary notices
  • Use my name, likeness, or branding in a way that implies endorsement without consent

Open-source components of the Site, where published separately on GitHub, are subject to their respective licenses.

The Site may link to third-party websites and services (for example, LinkedIn, GitHub, or referenced publications). I do not control and am not responsible for third-party content, policies, or practices. Accessing third-party services is at your own risk.

No Professional Relationship

Reading the Site does not create a consulting, employment, fiduciary, or client relationship. Any engagement for professional services requires a separate written agreement.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Site is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.

I do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of harmful components.

Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Jamal Yusuf will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, goodwill, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the Site.

To the extent liability cannot be excluded, total liability for any claim relating to the Site will not exceed one hundred U.S. dollars (USD $100).

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of the above may not apply to you.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Jamal Yusuf from claims, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from your misuse of the Site or violation of these Terms.

Governing Law and Venue

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina and applicable federal law of the United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Any dispute arising from these Terms or the Site will be brought in the state or federal courts located in North Carolina, and you consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.

Changes

I may revise these Terms at any time by posting an updated version on the Site. Your continued use after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
